Helen Jane Bennett Kocher, 88, of Dover Ridge Rd., Powhatan Point, Ohio died January 24, 2020 in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born May 24, 1931 in Jacobsburg, Ohio a daughter of the late Harry M. Bennett and Mary Elizabeth Kelly Bennett.

Helen retired after 30 years from the Switzerland of Ohio School District.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett W. "Pete" Kocher Jr. and two sisters, Dorothy Neff and Betty Beck.

Surviving are her three children, Danny (Patty) Kocher, Christine Stack and Byron (Cathy) Kocher; six grandchildren, Chad (Nicole) Kocher, Kevin (Cris) Kocher, Michael (Brent) Stack, Jason Kocher, Cassie Nichols and Russell Kocher; nine great grandchildren, Kohlton, Kaitlyn, Gabby, Anderson, Mason, Addison, Maddison, Isis and Tiernan; and two sisters, Eileen (Jim) Piatt and Mary (LaVerne) Kriechbaum; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Robert Fraley officiating.  Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
