Carpenter, Helen Geneva, 84, of Centerville, Ohio died Sunday February 26, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born February 11, 1928 in New Castle, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harry W. Kanzig and Vera Elizabeth Kirkbride Kanzig.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard L. Carpenter; a brother, Starling Kanzig.
Surviving are three children, Roger (Cindy) Carpenter of Morristown, Deanna Carpenter of Centerville, and Clesson (Lori) Carpenter of Centerville; two brothers, Harry J. "Junior" Kanzig and Gerald K. Kanzig of Ashland, Ohio; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Curtis) Blake, Nannette (Keith) McMahon, Bridgete (Kevin) Rowson, Ryan (Carrie) Carpenter, and Cory Carpenter; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial follows in Concord Cemetery, Centerville.
