BRANDON, Helen M., 85, of Glencoe, Ohio died Saturday, December 7, 2013 in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born in Stewartsville, Ohio on August 1, 1928, daughter of late Louis J. and Anna Ernistine Surovec.

She was a loving mom and grandma.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David L. "Jack" Brandon; her sons, David A. Brandon and Michael W. Brandon; two brothers, Victor and Andrew Surovec; two sisters, Frances Evelock and Anne Holub.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Barb (Mike) Vargo of Adena; daughter-in-law, Beverly Brandon of Glencoe; a brother, Joseph (May) Surovec of New Athens; six grandchildren, David (Anita) Brandon, Scott Brandon, Randy (Dawn) Homan, Jamie Homan, Michael Kimes and Billy Hess; and a very special great granddaughter, Jadyn Izabella Williams.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Father Dan Heusel officiating. Burial will follow in Glencoe Cemetery.
