Hazel May Brown, 66 formerly of Shadyside, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Astoria Place in Barnesville, Ohio.

She was born July 1, 1949 in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles Wines and Hazel May Hall Wines.

Hazel was a former nurses aide at Moundview Nursing Home and Shadyside Care Center, and a Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Haze Brown, Jr.; three brothers; two sisters.

Surviving are her six children, Rusty (Jeannie) Brown of Shadyside, Connie (Joseph) Taylor of Shadyside, Nancy (Dennis) Knight of Harrisville, Bonnie (Michael) Walker of Minnesota, Lisa (Lloyd) Roby of Lafferty, and Crystal (Chris) Vingino of Bellaire; two sisters, Doris Seevers of Tiltonsville, and Bertha Smith of Martins Ferry; many grandchildren and great grandchildren including Amy and Adam of the home.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Sean Patrick Smith officiating.

Burial follows in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio.
