Harry Duane Wells Sr., 78, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, died April 26, 2023, in Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.

He was born June 27, 1944, in Shadyside, Ohio, a son of the late Herman L. Wells and Hazel G. Schell Wells.

Harry was a retired employee of Bayer Chemical Company and a farmer. He was a member of the Centerville Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting and was a life-member of the NRA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Harry D. Wells Jr.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda Kay Gatten Wells; a daughter, Sherri Wells; a sister, Sharon Wells Pritchard; three grandchildren, Gregg (Melissa) Wells, Kori Kercher, and Harrison Kercher; eight great grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.

There will be a celebration of life service held at the Smith Township Community Center , in Centerville , Ohio on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 2 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home.
