Harry F. Shreve, 80 of Lake Wales, FL passed away Friday, July 2, 2004 at his home.
He was born October 8, 1923 at Smithfield, WV a son of the late James and Laura Sterling Shreve.
Harry resided in Canton, OH until 1972 when he retired from the Timken Co. after 30 years of service. He then moved to Beallsville, OH where he resided until 1996 when he moved to Lake Wales. He was a member of William McKinley Lodge #431 at Canton, was a 32nd Degree Mason in the Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, a member American Legion Post #768 at Beallsville and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Betty West Shreve; a daughter, Judy; a brother Charles Shreve and sisters, Beryl Midcap, Dolly Shreve and Grace Shreve.
He is survived by his daughters, Mrs. Linda (Curtis) Howell of Lake Wales, FL and Mrs. Helen (David) Yonak of Jacobsburg, OH; a sister, Ruth (Samuel) Furbee of Rockledge, FL; 5 grandchildren, Matt (Krysi) Arnett; Jason (Kelly) Arnett; Angela (Ron) Ford; Stephen Yonak and David Yonak and great grandchild, Eben Arnett.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg, OH. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville, OH . Full military honors will be conducted by the Beallsville American Legion.
Masonic services will be conducted at 5:45 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
