Obituary

Harry L. McEndree, 85, of St. Clairsville, died March 3, 2019 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born May 17, 1933 in Morristown, Ohio, son of the late Donald and Mary Kemp McEndree.

Harry was a retired coal miner from Consolidation Coal Co. Franklin #25 Mine. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and member of American Legion Post 159 and VFW Post 5356.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maria H. "Ria" Schwarz McEndree; daughter-in-law, Melissa McEndree; a sister, Lova Pierce and a brother, Ansel McEndree.

Surviving are three sons, Michael (Terra) McEndree, Harry (Peggy) McEndree and Christian McEndree; seven grandchildren, Derek and Shon (Christina) McEndree, Ashley (Trevor) Bigler, Nick McEndree, David and Eric Brightwell and Jeremy McEndree; and three great grandchildren, Jaycee, Ryker and Gemma; four sisters, Shirley Snyder, Connie (Bob Tate) Taylor; Ramona (William) Swallie and Donna (Jim) Lechuga; two brothers, Sherman McEndree and Carl (Nellie) McEndree and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. with Father Matthew Gossett officiating and Military Honors conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association. Private burial will be in Holly Memorial Gardens.
