LEWIS, Harry Robert Sr., 77, of Shadyside, Ohio, died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at his home.
He was born in Noble County, on January 12, 1934, son of the late Edward and Goldie Wilkinson Lewis.
Harry was the former owner and operator of Lewis Hotdog Shop and retired employee from Ormet Corporation. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War; and a member of the American Legion Post 521 in Shadyside.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Kay Greenwood Lewis; a son, Jay Christopher Lewis; 5 sisters, Emma Henry, Annie Jones, Bertha Burgy, Helen Lewis and Mabel Neff; 4 brothers, Arthur, James, Charles "Bud" and Larry Lewis.
Surviving are his daughter, Lisa (Buck) Burkhardt of Shadyside; 4 sons, Rob (Janis) Lewis of Columbus, Jeff (Mary) Lewis of St. Clairsville, James (Lisa) Lewis of Bellaire and Randy (Stephanie) Lewis of Mingo Junction; a sister, Gladys Boston of Massillon; 12 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Armstrong Cemetery.
Full Military Honor Services will be conducted by the Belmont County Council of American Legions on Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
