Harold John Vigoffi, Sr., 73 of Flushing, Ohio died Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was born March 10, 1944 in Fairpoint, Ohio, a son of the late Savino John Vigoffi and Myrtle Virginia Petry Vigoffi.
Harold was a retired mine foreman and equipment operator for Consolidation Coal Company's Mahoning Valley Mine, a commercial truck driver, a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church in Flushing, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Flushing Lodge # 298 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, Past Patron of Freeport Chapter # 319 O.E.S. and a ham radio operator.
He was a great husband, father and friend, and was a true patriot. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frieda Frakowski, and a brother, Frank Vigoffi.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Lana J. Johnson Vigoffi; two children, Harold John (Kelli) Vigoffi, Jr. of St. Clairsville, and Tamira McBride of Mineral Ridge, Ohio; a brother, Donald (Loretta) Vigoffi of Lafferty; a sister, Yvonne (Jim) Fillon of Fairpoint; a sister-in-law, Rose Vigoffi of Fairpoint; grandchildren, Chasity, Timi, Sydni, C.J., and Madison; great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Trinity, Layenie, Kennadee, and Levi; many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until time of memorial service at 8 p.m. with Rev. Robert Merritt officiating.
Eastern Star services will beheld at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home followed by military honors provided by the Belmont County Veterans Association at 7:45 p.m.
