HAROLD REEVES

Harold E. Reeves, 88, of Neffs, Ohio died August 29, 2019 at his home.

He was born November 7, 1930 in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late William J. and Ann Evonek Reeves.

Harold was retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  He was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church in Neffs, a member of the American Legion Post 77 in Neffs, the DAV and the VFW Post 626 in Bellaire.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his first wife, Laverne Hudock Reeves; an infant sister, Phyllis, and three brothers, an infant John, Bob and Bill Reeves.

Surviving are his loving wife, Marlene Barnes Reeves of Neffs, four children, Lana (George) Hickenbottom of St. Clairsville, Harold "Eddie" (Kay) Reeves of Virginia, Lorne (Linda) Reeves of Bethesda and Scott Reeves of St. Clairsville; two step-children, Bill (Patti) Talik of Bridgeport and Leslie (Mark) Magnone of St. Clairsville; a brother, Richard (Sara) Reeves of Tennessee; a sister, Barbara Saoos of Florida; three grandchildren, Ty (Traci) Hickenbottom, Dustin (Shannan) Hickenbottom and Honi Jo Hickenbottom; three step-grandchildren, Courtney and Ashley Talik and Markie Magnone; six great grandchildren and one on the way.

The family wanted to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their care and support.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday for visitation from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Private services will be held on Monday with Father Daniel Heusel officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in St. Clairsville with Full Military Honors conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Easter Seals or any veteran charity.
