Harold J. Hudson, 89, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Friday, May 15, 2015 at Carriage Inn in Cadiz.

He was born July 12, 1925 in West Virginia, Son of the late Harold F. Hudson and Jessie B. Roberts Hudson.

Harold retired after 52 years as the office manager of Scott Fluid Power Products. He was a member of the Church of Christ in St. Clairsville; a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II earning the Silver Star for bravery in action. Harold enjoyed hunting, bowling, golf, spending time with his family and he had a love for children.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife of 43 years, Doris Lee Bane Hudson; a brother, Gene Hudson and a sister, Doris Lee Myers.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Loy Hayes Hudson; his son, Denny (Mary Margaret) Hudson of St. Clairsville; a daughter, Robin (Eric Rasmussen) Hudson of Brecksville, Ohio; three stepchildren, Mark (Sally) Hayes, Randy (Tina) Hayes and Christy (Shawn) Schwertfeger; 10 grandchildren, Bradley Chelko, Lauren Minard, Missy Hothem, Dana Roscoe, John Bogovich, Kenny Leesburg, Corey Hayes, Caleb Hayes, Ashlee Schwertfeger and Amy Nietfeld; several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.

Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ in St. Clairsville, with Brad Schrum officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.

Full Military Honors will be provided in the cemetery by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
