Obituary

Harold Francis Earliwine, 80, of St. Clairsville, formerly of Centerville, died June 10, 2020 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born August 19, 1939 in Centerville, Ohio, son of the late James and Delta May Huggins Earliwine.

Francis was a retired supervisor from Belmont County Engineering Dept. and former mechanic with Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and Consolidation Coal Co.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was a former member of Weyer Lodge 541; a tractor enthusiast and enjoyed attending auctions.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Earliwine, Norma Jochum and Nellie Bilyeu; and six brothers, Bill, Howard, Russell, Raymond, Cyril and Ralph Earliwine.

Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Flora "Sis" Dornon Earliwine; a son Rodney (Tracy) Earliwine of St. Clairsville; two granddaughters, Mackenzie (Kyle) Filtz of Tiltonsville and Abigail Earliwine of St. Clairsville; two great grandsons, Kasen and Jaxtyn Filtz; a brother, Homer Earliwine of St. Clairsville; several nieces and nephews.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and mask requirements will be followed during a Private Visitation held for family and close friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.  A graveside service will be held following the visitation at Concord Cemetery in Centerville, with Pastor Al Hoder officiating.  Belmont County Veterans Association will conduct Military Honors.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
