Harold L. DeVaul, 99, of Colerain, Ohio, died May 12, 2022, in Emerald Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center in Barnesville.
He was born July 27, 1922, in St. Clairsville, Ohio, a son of the late John J. and Iona Loy DeVaul.
Harold was a retired dispatcher for Warwood Armature Repair and a member of Colerain Presbyterian Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Harold loved his country and family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and flea marketing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence L. Baker DeVaul; a son, David Lee DeVaul; a grandson, David Lee Schnegg; and a brother, Glenn E. DeVaul.
Harold is survived by his daughter, Sue (Francis) Schnegg of Colerain; five grandchildren, Scott Schnegg (Jennifer) of Morristown, Debbie (Josh) Lucas of Colerain, Josie (Pedro) Montalvo of Zanesville, Doug (Britny) DeVaul of Perry County and Dawna (Tony) Hernandez of Wisconsin; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Joe Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Colerain Presbyterian Church.
