Taylor, H. Dwight "Ozzie", 87 of Reservoir Hill Rd., Flushing, Ohio died Thursday, April 2, 2009 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry.
He was born in Wheeling Township on February 21, 1922 a son of the late Harold and Emma Eisanboth Taylor.
Dwight was a retired employee of Consol Energy, a member of the United Mine Workers, American Legion Post 366 at Flushing, and was an army veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Williams Taylor; brothers, William "Bill" Taylor and Jim Taylor; a sister, Ila Simmons and a step grandson, Chris Skelton.
He is survived by his wife Eula Skelton Taylor; a son Charles "Lynn" Taylor and his wife Linda of Flushing; step sons, David Skelton of Neffs and Don Skelton and his wife Becky of Sardis; a step daughter; Patty Kocher and her husband Dan of Jacobsburg; brothers, Chuck and Cecil Taylor both of California; sister, Betty Levengood of California; 2 grandchildren, 4 step grandsons, 3 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dean Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove where American Legion Post 366 will conduct military honors at the grave site.
