HALL, H. David, 83, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital.

He was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on October 10, 1927, son of the late Rolla and Elsie Scheehle Hall.

David was a retired Secretary/Treasurer from Picoma Industries in Martins Ferry. He was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School and Trine University in Indiana; he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; a member of East Richland Friends Church; and he loved to golf.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth L. Higgs Hall; a grandson, Clayton W. Rebecca-Hall; a sister, Betty Sommer and two infant sisters.

Surviving are his son, David W. Hall of Barnesville; a daughter, Kim (Bob) Travis of St. Clairsville; five grandchildren, Caitlin Travis and her fiancee (Jock) Rottman, Joshua Travis, Ethan Travis, Curtis Hall and Austin Dougherty.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Monday at 12 Noon with Rev. Wayne Ickes and Jerry Wenger officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
