Gwendolyn "Gwen" Beckett passed away on September 19, 2006 at the age of 76.

Gwen was born in Steubenville, Ohio on May 19, 1930, a daughter of the late John William Beckett and Ida Marie Flohr Beckett.

She lived at the Belmont Habilitation Center in St. Clairsville from 1982 until June of 2006 and was recently living at Pineview 1b group home in Belmont, Ohio.

Gwen was a tiny lady with a lot of spirit. She had many health complications in recent years but still enjoyed the attention of others and those familiar to her. She was mostly content with the happenings in her home but had a way of shaking her finger at you if she was displeased. She also enjoyed observing those around her and listening to soothing music.

Gwen will be greatly missed by her friends and peers.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Wenger officiating. Burial follows in Oak View Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
