JEFFERS, Gus M. Sr., 50, of Glencoe, Ohio, died Monday, February 4, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Bellaire, Ohio, on November 25, 1962, son of the late Philip C. and Esther Mae Coen Jeffers.

Gus was an employee of the Times Leader. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Jeffers and a nephew, Philip C. "Kip" Jeffers III.

Surviving are his wife, Imogene Fox Jeffers; a son, Gus. M. (Tiffanie) Jeffers Jr. of Neffs; three brothers, Harry and Phillip Jeffers both of Bellaire and Everett Jeffers of Glencoe; two sisters, Maud Amy (Gary) Bishop of Uniontown, Ohio and Sandy (Chris) Rumskey of Glencoe; two grandchildren, Brayden Michael Jeffers and Caiden Michael Jeffers and another grandson is expected in May, Gus Michael Jeffers III.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dan Cheatham officiating. Burial will follow in Warnock Cemetery.
