Weigand
January 6, 1955 – October 24, 2023
Gordon Ernest Weigand, 68, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at his home.
He was born January 6, 1955, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late Wallace Arthur Weigand and Irene Gallourakis Weigand.
Gordon worked and retired as an underwater welder. Over the years, he had extensive training and perfected his skills which took him to places all over the world, from the Ohio River to Japan and Taiwan and even Finland.
He was also a former employee of Electric Boat (General Dynamics) in Groton, Connecticut where he worked on numerous submarines, as well as a former coal miner with Alexander Mine of Valley Camp Coal Mine, Co.
In his younger years, Gordon enjoyed riding motorcycles, specifically his Shovelhead Harley and could always be seen wearing one of his favorite flannel shirts.

He is survived by his son, Nick (Jessica) Weigand; two sisters, Theresa Tassey and Laura Weigand; a granddaughter, Aylah Riley, who lovingly called him "Grandpa Gordon" and two step-grandchildren, Khloe Clark and Brandon Clark; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Weigand and his beloved dog, Frank.
