Gordon L. "Lefty" Schroeder, 80 of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at his home.
He was born at Shadyside, Ohio on August 12, 1926 a son of the late Wallace and Inez Brannen Schroeder.
Gordon was a retired electrical foreman for Ohio Edison?s R. E. Burger Plant at Dilles Bottom. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of Weyer Lodge #541 F.& A.M. at Centerville, Scottish Rite Bodies Valley of Steubenville and American Legion Post #888 at Delaware, Ohio.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Bob and Wally Schroeder; a grandson Cody Schroeder and a great grandson Sebastian Wymer.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Toothman Schroeder; his children Wayne (Debbie) Schroeder of Centerville; Tom (Pam) Schroeder of Jacobsburg; Jennifer Harris of Flushing and Ted Schroeder of Jacobsburg; a brother Bill Schroeder of Shadyside; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, Jacobsburg on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Don Henson officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
Masonic services will be held Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
