Glendora "Dude" Young Dziatkowicz, age 98, passed away peacefully at The Grand of Dublin on September 2, 2023. She was a former resident of St. Clairsville, Ohio and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

She was born on October 9, 1924 in Byesville, Ohio, the daughter of Orville and Mabel (Dartt) Young. She was married on June 19, 1942 to Joseph Dziatkowicz, who preceded her in death on September 27, 1969.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Kilburn, Charles, Alvin, and Lester Young; and two sisters, Lorene Balabin, and Enid Yoho.

Dude was a quiet soul with a gentle spirit, a quick wit and an incredible sense of humor. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as travelling with her family, crossword puzzles, cooking and playing games.

She is lovingly survived by her son Joseph "O.J." (wife Elisa) Dziatkowicz of New Albany, Oh, daughter, Pam (husband Dave) Kanyuch of Centerville, Ohio, and son Tom (wife Josefa) Dziatkowicz of Newark, Oh.

Known as "Nanny" to her 7 grandchildren and spouses and 9 great grandchildren, she was always ready to spend time reading stories, playing games and baking their favorite treats. Her specialty was making each child feel like they were "Nanny's" favorite.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and devoted caregivers from The Grand of Dublin and Gentiva Hospice of Columbus.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Friday from 4-8 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 3:45 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, on Saturday at 10 a.m., with Father Thomas Chillog as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
