Glenda Mayberry Ferrell, 59 of Country Club Road, St. Clairsville died Friday, October 8, 2004 at her home.
She was born at Beallsville, Ohio on November 17, 1944 a daughter of Frank and Betty Ward Mayberry.
Glenda was a retired school teacher for the Union Local School District having taught for 30 years. She was a committeewoman for the Belmont County Republican Party and loved her hobbies and interests which were traveling, gardening, quilting and painting. She was an accomplished artist and took a very special interest in educating children.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Jimmy Ferrell and a stepsister, Linda Wallace.
She is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Ferrell; children, Nick (Tracy) Kowalski of Nashport, Ohio; Beth Kowalski (Steve Richards) of Circleville, Ohio; Rick (Faye) Ferrell; Stacey (Bryan) Conway and Michelle (Kevin) Hendershot all of St. Clairsville; her grandchildren Ashlen, Kade and Averie Kowalski; Wesley Stoner; Brock and Eberle Ferrell; Alyssa and Jimmy Lodi; Kyle and Mikayla Hendershot; brothers, Terry (Linda) Mayberry of Colerain, Ohio; Dennis Mayberry of Raleigh, North Carolina; Dale (Natalie) Mayberry of Ashville, North Carolina; Mark (Susan) Mayberry of Queenstown, Maryland; sister Doty (Bill) Sturgill of Crooksville, Ohio; and special pets Tanner and Baby.
Friends will be received from Noon to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
