Gladys Marie Baker, peacefully entered Heavens gates Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from her home in Powhatan Point, Ohio. She was 77 years old and born March 29, 1940 in Middleport, Ohio.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Kennard Baker Sr.; her children, Andrew (Robin) Baker, Cindy Adams, Kennard Baker Jr., Elizabeth (Becky) Helmsing, Sherry McMasters and Kimberly McMasters; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Whittington; a sister, Helen Longwell; and many nieces and nephews.

Gladys was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She always put others needs before her own. Life will never be the same without her for those she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her son, Halbert "Pogo" Baker; her mother, Cinderella Dunlap Whittington Vargo; sisters, Mary Ann Miller, Emogene Baker and a brother, Robert "Butch" Whittington.

Honoring Gladys' request there will be no public services. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg.
