JACKSON, Gertrude Mae, 89, of Bellaire, died on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire.

She was born September 27, 1921 in Neffs, Ohio, daughter of the late Joseph Pelkey and Hope Myers Pelkey Glasgow.

Gertrude was retired from Bellaire City Hospital; former employee of Bellaire Enamel and Imperial Glass. She was a member of the Bellaire Christian Church; the American Legion Auxiliary in Neffs; the Senior Citizens Crazy Band; former member of the Moose Lodge in Bellaire and AARP.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Jackson; step-father, Harry Glasgow; a sister, Chloris Stemkowski; and a brother, Gilbert Glasgow.

Surviving are her sons, Robert Jackson of Key Ridge, Roger (Mary) Jackson of Neffs; a brother, Wilbert Glasgow of West Bellaire; 5 grandchildren, Jared J. Jackson, Jessica Jackson, Miranda Rector, Nichole and Lee Ann; 2 step grand, Joseph and John Somerville; and great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Jerry Garloch officiating. Entombment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
