ZEMELKA, Gerry W., 65, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Saturday, March 24, 2012 in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born October 11, 1946 in Bellaire, Ohio, son of the late Frank and Christine Glivar Zemelka.
Gerry retired in 2002 as the produce manager from Big Bear in Bridgeport. He graduated from Bellaire High School in 1964; was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville; he served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was a member of the Lansing Sportsman's Club.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn Egy Zemelka; a daughter, Heather (Scotty) Brown of Asheville, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Kaleb and Lynnzie Brown; two brothers, Frank (Kathy) Zemelka of Willoughby, Ohio and Rudy (Debbie) Zemelka of Boardman, Ohio. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Patty (Tom) Rinkes of Colerain, Ohio and Cindy (Tom) Lemon of Colorado Springs, Colorado and eight nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with Father Michael Gossett officiating.
Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
