Obituary
Gerda R. Friend, 89 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Park Health Center in St. Clairsville.
She was born October 5, 1920 in Germay, a daughter of the late Willie and Alice Reichstein.
Gerda was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel?s Steubenville Plant and a Garment Factory employee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil A. Friend; a granddaughter, Stacy Friend Flick.
Surviving are four sons, Werner H. (Janet) Petschke of St. Clairsville, Harold C. "Punky" Friend of Bannock, Norman H. (Ardith) Friend of Cuyahoga Falls, Roger "Steve" (Karen) Friend of Columbus; two grandchildren, Scott Friend and Rhonda Colarik; three great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Clark officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the J.B. Martin Recreation Center, 102 Fair Ave., St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
