George J. Wright, 91, of Morristown, Ohio died August 26, 2019 in Park Health Center, St. Clairsville.

He was born December 21, 1927 in St. Clairsville, a son of the late George W. Wright and Ethel Gertrude Frances Wright.

George was a retired employee from Tri-State Asphalt and the Operating Engineers.  He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran and a member of the East Richland Friends Church.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Ulaughn (Host) Wright; two sisters, Norma Fry and Dorothy Burdette; and a brother, Charles "Buss" Wright.

Surviving are his three children, Terry (Mary Ann) Wright of Seneca Lake, Valerie (Roger) Moore of Belmont, and Laurie (Tom) Makoski of Cincinnati; five sisters, Betty Patton, Josephine Halterman, Nancy Easton, Doris Jackson, and Marjorie Knight; four grandchildren, Sarah (Zach) Graham, Rachel Makoski, Kathryn Moore and Stephanie Moore; and a great grandson, Camden Graham; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating.  Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
