George W. McMahon, 83, of Shadyside, Ohio died June 10, 2019 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born June 14, 1935 in Shadyside, a son of the late Harry and Elsie Groves McMahon.

George was retired from Conalco and worked for Belmont County Restitution Litter Prevention.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Harry and Chester; and sisters, Alberta McMahon, Ella Mae Hakr and Donna Boston.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Poppe McMahon; five children, Chere Nash, Micki (Bob) O'Dell, Denise (Jack) Stolirchick, Ed (Angie) McMahon and Rick (Ann) McMahon; a brother, Paul McMahon; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Private services held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg.
