Obituary

REASS, George W., 87 of Billings, Missouri went home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2013 in Westerville, Ohio, after a short illness.

Originally from Wheeling, West Virginia, he was born February 13, 1926, a son of the late Joseph H. and Viola Winter Reass.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Carmella Jane (Endrizzi), three brothers, Joseph, Harmon and Robert Reass, five sisters, Julia Boyd, Mary Young, Laura Hinkleman, Freda Turner and Viola Belt.

Surviving are his children, Joseph Reass (Susan) of Westerville, Ohio and Susan Edwards (Gerard) of Billings, Missouri. Grandchildren are Amanda Stock (Ben) of Westerville, Emily Carr (Hunter) of Hollister, Missouri, Tiffany Mann, Robert Edwards and Benjamin Edwards, all of Springfield, Missouri, and 5 great grandchildren.

He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.
George was President of Colonial Federal Savings and Loan of Moundsville, WVA until his retirement in 1983, was a member of Hood United Methodist Church of Republic, Missouri and was a member of the Osiris Shrine Temple, Wheeling. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Most recently, he was active in the Christian men's organization, Promise Keepers.

Friends will be received at Toothman's Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 pm Sunday and 10-11 am Monday, with interment immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held at Hood United Methodist Church in Republic, Missouri on May 18 at 6:30 pm.
