George Frederick McMahon, 88, of Neffs, Ohio, died June 28, 2021 at his home.
He was born August 4, 1932 in Stewartsville, Ohio, a son of the late Murwood McMahon and Mary Ann Thornton McMahon.
George was a retired Coal Miner from North American Coal Company # 3 Mine and Rodefer Glass in Bellaire and worked the farm.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Helen McMahon; a son, George McMahon; 6 sisters, Hazel Davis, Rachael McMahon, Mary Jane McGilton, Victoria Cargnel, Shirley Ware, and Sarah Traylenik; 3 brothers, Howard "Gabe", Paul and Homer McMahon; and two step-grandchildren.
Surviving are his loving wife, Mary Margaret "Peg" Webb McMahon; 4 children, Diana Marie (Robert) Barnes, Danny (Janice) McMahon, Keith (Nannette) McMahon, Kevin (Dan) McMahon; five stepchildren, William "Bud" Webb, Brenda Sue (Ed) Meager, Roger Frederick (Rebecca) Webb, Katherine Marie (Jeff) Nagy and Adam Andrew (Dawn) Webb; a sister, Wilma Myers; a brother, Russell McMahon; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 24 step-great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-great grandchildren with 3 more on the way.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, where services will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. with nephew, Bill Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Neffs Volunteer Fire Department.
