BROWN, George M., 76, of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at his home.

He was born October 30, 1936 at Pipe Creek, Ohio son of the late James and Mary Brown.

George was a retired coal miner from North American Coal # 3 Mine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nonie Faye Brown; second wife, Mary Pelkey Brown; a step daughter, Mary Jean Thornton; step granddaughter, Mary "Maggie" Jurco; step great grandson, Bryce Jurco; two brothers, James and Charles; and three sisters, Geraldine, Evelyn and Sarah.

Surviving are his step daughters, Betty Ann Knight and Sarah Louise Richards; step grandsons, Thomas (Jean) Knight and Joseph (Linda) Knight; a special step great grandson, Justin (Megan) Jurco; step greatgrandchildren, T.J., Kelsey, Joseph and Jonathan Knight; a special step great great grandson, Hayden Jurco; a brother, Robert Brown; three sisters, Charlotte Hutchison and Agnes Brown; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Wayne Clark officiating. Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg is entrusted with the arrangements.
