JOSEFCZYK, George F., 91, of Flushing, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born in Maynard, Ohio on March 25, 1920, son of the late Joseph and Mary Josefczyk.
George was retired from Consolidation Coal Co. Bradford Mine. He was a member of St. Paul?s Catholic Church in Flushing; a member of the UMWA; and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Wanda A. Milarcik Josefczyk; five brothers, Bolek, Joe, Stanley, Henry and Walter; three sisters, Tillie, Nellie and Mary.
He is survived by a son, Dennis (Rosemary) Josefczyk of New Cumberland, Ohio; four daughters, Georgene (Bob) Dombroski of St. Clairsville, OH, Linda (Mike) Pabin of Vilonia, Arkansas, Kathy (Jim) Funkhouser of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Gloria (Bob) Dorris of Shadyside, OH; nine grandchildren, Jodi, Stanley, Amy, Alexa, Austin, Ashley, Kyle, Chris and Dennis; two great grandchildren, Tyson and Marco.
Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul?s Catholic Church in Flushing with Father Frederick Kihm the celebrant. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
