George Richard Gacek Sr., 81, of St. Clairsville, died July 21, 2019 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

He was born December 14, 1937 in Neffs, OH, a son of the late Charles Gacek Sr. and Antonia Rybkosky Gacek.

George was a retired insurance agent from Boyle Insurance Agency.  He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a past president of the former St. Clairsville Jaycees.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Jr. and Robert Gacek.

Surviving are his four children, Karen Wallace, George Richard "Zak" Gacek, Craig Gacek and Keeley Jo Corrick; a sister, Carole Worrell; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
