George Richard "Dick" Early, 88, of Neffs, Ohio died May 13, 2020 at his daughter's home.

He was born January 7, 1932 in Stewartsville, Ohio, son of the late Roy Nicholas Early Sr. and Celia Dunfee Early.

Dick was a retired coal miner from having worked for Oglebay Norton Co. and Quarto Mining, Powhatan # 4 Mine. He was a farmer, mechanic and painted cars and was always ready to help others. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, the Cleveland Browns and Indians.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mina Jane Trigg Early; stepchildren, Joseph Bonfini and Linda Drummond; four brothers, Paul, Russell, William and Roy "Nick" Early and a sister, Edna Early.

Surviving are two children, Cindy (Jim) Padgett and Rick (Patty) Early; three stepchildren, Rosemary (Sonny) Olinski, Charles (Debbie) Bonfine and Jim (Donita) Coutz; 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A private graveside service at Davis Cemetery in Bellaire, Ohio will be held at the convenience of the family, with Rev. Chuck Mehl officiating.  Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
