Obituary

Geno Chini, age 71, of Flushing, Ohio, died Sunday, November 23, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio. He was born June 19, 1932 at Lafferty, Ohio, son of the late Luigi and Pia Chini.

He was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church at Lafferty, Ohio. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Stumptown Steam Threshers.

In addition to his parents, Geno was preceded in death by his twin sister, Jeana Chini and a sister, Ella "Grace" Wright; two brothers, Clementin and Candido Chini.

Surviving are his wife, Rose A. Niemiec Chini; two daughters, Joyce Drake and her husband Joe of St. Clairsville, OH and Patricia Headley and her husband Don of Pleasant Grove, OH; two brothers, Edward and Rudy Chini both of Flushing, OH; six grandchildren, Michael Drake and his wife Christie, Joe Drake and his wife Sommar, Amy Drake, Rebecca Headley, Don Headley and Dorthea Headley; and two great grandsons, Zachary and Geno Drake.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at 11 a.m., with Father Chester Pabin the Celebrant of the Mass. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lafferty, Ohio. A vigil service will be held on Monday at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
