Lattocha, Gene, 76 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born September 14, 1934 in Lansing, Ohio, a son of the late Steve Lattocha and Margaret Stopski Lattocha.
He was a retired employee of Continental Can Corp. in Wheeling, a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and American Legion Post 159 in St. Clairsville.
Gene loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He helped develop little league baseball in St. Clairsville and donated many hours coaching and umpiring. He also enjoyed bowling at St. Clairsville Lanes and bowled for many years on the Toothman Funeral Home, Tuesday night team.
Surviving are his wife, Andrea Pollock Lattocha; three sons, Drew Lattocha of Mason, Ohio, Michael (Carla) Lattocha of Jacobsburg, Ohio and Dennis (Melanie) Lattocha of St. Clairsville, Ohio; brothers, Gerald Lattocha and Steve Lattocha both of Colerain, Ohio; a sister, Sandra Chalmers of Mantua, Ohio; 6 grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Rachael, Eugene, Megan, and Scott.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church in St. Clairsville with Father Thomas Chillog the celebrant. Burial follows in Linwood Cemetery, Blaine, Ohio.

There will be a Vigil Service at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday and a Knights of Columbus Service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, both in the funeral home.
