Clinton Eugene "Gene" Cook, 76, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at his home.
He was born October 2, 1939 in Robbinsville, North Carolina, a son of the late Cliff and Doshia Shuler Cook.
Gene was a retired carpenter having worked from the Carpenter's Local # 3 and then a self-employed contractor and he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a member of American Legion Post #159 both in St. Clairsville; a former member of Belmont Lodge #16 and current member of Weyer Lodge #541 in Centerville; a former member of St. Clairsville Chapter #510 O.E.S.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Newman.
Gene is Survived by his wife Patsy M. Cooper Cook; his three children, Kimberly Cook, Tammy (Tony) Akers and Randy (Jenny Standiford) Cook all of St. Clairsville; seven grandchildren, Lisa Falcone, Scott Akers, Brittney (Duhe) Winfrey, Haley Cook, Hunter Cook, Rodney Cook and Brandan (Kerri) Mistak; four great grandsons, Vance Falcone, Benny Good, Chaz Winfrey and Drue Winfrey; four brothers, Jackie (Joyce) Cook of Franklin, NC, Max (Lois) Cook of St. Clairsville, David (Ronda) Cook of St. Clairsville and Jerry (Pat) Cook of Franklin, NC; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 6 p.m. until time of Services beginning at 8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio with Pastor Gary Eller officiating.
There will be additional Services and interment held later in Wells Grove Baptist Church and Cemetery in North Carolina.
Weyer Lodge #541 will conduct Masonic Funeral Services Sunday at 8 p.m.
