Gary Louis Smith, 55 of Las Vegas formerly of Neffs died Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Country Club Retirement Center in Bellaire. He was born February 7, 1952 in Bellaire, a son of Dorothy Seladokie Smith Kreis and the late "Zip" Smith.

Gary was the owner/operator of Desert Pool & Spas in Las Vegas, a Methodist, and a graduate of Bellaire High School.

He had a love of music, was an accomplished vocalist, well known percussionist and played alongside many well known celebrities in Las Vegas.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Charles Kreis; a brother, Bud Smith; and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Viola Seladokie.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Neffs, are a sister, Joyce Dimitro of Glen Dale and close friend, Cathie Semler of Wheeling.

Friends will be received on Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Don Cordery officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
