Gary Eugene Rebecca, 81, of Glencoe, Ohio, passed away on Saturday June 13, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 18, 1944, in Glencoe, Ohio, a son of the late Mele and Rose Moorehead Rebecca.

Gary worked many jobs in his lifetime, from coal miner to working his way up as a janitor to executive at BELCO and later employed by Liberty Distributors. He was a Catholic by faith, member of the former Sacred Heart Church in Neffs. He was a commander for the Rings of Knowledge and a member of the Senior Center both in Glencoe. He was a former little league coach and volunteer fire fighter. He enjoyed his goats and taking care of his property. He loved hunting, hunting morels and fishing, all on borrowed time.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Babette Rebecca, sister, Alda Rebecca, and brother, Robert Franklin Rebecca.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Karen Marie Jackson Rebecca, two children, Bridgette Wright and Tyson Rebecca; brother, Louis Mele “Pork” (Jane) Rebecca; six grandchildren, Justin, Joe, Billy Barath; Chaz Wright, Domenique and Mikayla Rebecca; many great and great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 pm with Fr. Thomas Chillog officiating. Burial will follow in Glencoe Cemetery.
