Gary Ray "Bub" Brunner, 63, of Clarington, Ohio died September 21, 2017.
He was born December 14, 1953 in Bellaire, Ohio son of the late Emerson Melvin Brunner and Leona Loretta Palmer Brunner.
Bub was a retired coal miner from Powhatan # 6 Mine. He was a member of the True Sportsman's Club in Jacobsburg; the American Legion and VFW both in Powhatan Point. He enjoyed the farm, animals, hunting, fishing and ginseng hunting.
In addition to his parents, Bub was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Brunner and a sister, Linda Bauer.
Surviving are his fiancée, Diana Mercer of Clarington; two sons, Jason (Gabby) Brunner of Clarington and Garren (Dylen) Brunner of Beallsville; two stepchildren, Nicole Mercer of Bethesda and Shane Mercer of Armstrongs Mills, Ohio; three grandchildren, Kaydence and Jaxon Brunner and DeLana Burghy; four sisters, Donna (Doc) Graham of Jacobsburg, Brenda (Jim) Scott of Martins Ferry, Pam (Rick) Hannan of Jacobsburg, Penny (John) Gallaher of Jacobsburg; a brother, Barry (Carol) Brunner of Bellefontaine, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, where services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, Ohio.
