Freda V. Yoss Mayne, 87 a resident of Ann?s Country Retreat in Wellsburg, WV., formerly of St.Clairsville died Sunday, February 8, 2004 at her home. She was born, April 6, 1916 in Limestone, WV a daughter of the late Edward Yoss and Marie Coffield Yoss.

A former member of the East Richland Evangelical Friends Church and the Pioneer City Auxiliary VFW Post 3613 in Martins Ferry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy S. Mayne; daughter, Ruth Ann Scott Ellenberg; son, Roy Mayne; brothers, James Yoss, & Elmer Yoss; sisters, Hazel Kubina, Anna Mae Long, Doris Roller, Alta Armstrong, granddaughter,Virginia Mayne Davis Griffin.

Surviving are four sisters, Estella Jasinski of St. Cloud, FL., Bernice Hoobler of Malvern, Ohio, Wilda Becknell of Carrollton, Ohio., and Mary Dale Kephart of Pine Top, AZ.; two brothers, Harold Yoss of Aleppo, PA., and Donald Yoss of Powhatan Point, Ohio.; 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
