Fred Allen Williams Jr., 67, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died at his home, Thursday, March 21, 2024.

He was born May 13, 1956, in Spangler, Pennsylvania, a son of Fred Allen Williams Sr. and Louise M. Shortencarier Williams.

Fred "Freddie" was a retired foreman having worked in the coal industry his entire career. His employment included Saginaw Mining, Harrison Mining and Consolidation Coal Company. He graduated from St. Clairsville High School in 1974. Freddie was an active member of the Son's of the American Legion Post 159. Having a passion for sports, Freddie was involved with the Post 159 Baseball Teams, St. C. Junior Sports and was a life-member of the Saints Club. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time with his family and watching his grandkids play sports.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Christopher Johnston.

Fred is survived by his two children, Brent M. Williams and Heidi Jo Binegar, her husband Joshua and two grandchildren, Alayna and Brecken Binegar; two sisters, Beverly Farrow and her husband Jay, and Cathy Johnston; nieces and nephews; and his lifelong friend, John Burghy.

Honoring Fred's wishes there will not be visitation held. He will be buried in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, Ohio, with Father Thomas Chillog officiating.

Memorial donations may be made in Fred's memory to St. Clairsville Junior Sports or the Saints Club.
