Fred Bernard Hudak, Jr., 80 of Belmont, Ohio died Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Forest Hill Retirement Center in St. Clairsville.
He was born May 14, 1934 in Neffs, Ohio, a son of the late Fred B. Hudak, Sr. and Awilda Ott Hudak.
Fred was a retired employee of Port Charlotte Public Schools in Florida and former employee of Ford Motor Company, a Catholic, U.S. Marine Corps Reservist, and member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Gertrude Kiss, and Bernardine Sykes; brothers, Stephen Hudak, and John Daniel Hudock; infant brother, Frank Hudak; and companion, Christine Marvin.
Surviving are three children, Fred Bernard (Toni) Hudak III of Strongsville, Ohio, Katrina (Dan) Twardokus of Hudsonville, Michigan, and Monica (Carmen) Laro of Visalia, California; sisters, Mary (Greg) Bowser and Liz (Len) Snedeker of St. Clairsville; brothers, Michael (Jane) Hudak of Columbus, Anthony (Diane) Hudak of Lafferty, and Ed (Karen) Hudak of Flushing; nine grandchildren, Bernie, Nathan, Emily, Victoria, Nicole, Elizabeth, Samantha, Megan, and CJ; nine great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville on Monday at 10 a.m. with Father Michael Gossett the Celebrant. Burial follows in Belmont County Memorial Park, St. Clairsville.
A vigil service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
