Mihalic, Frank C., 78, of Maynard, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 at Park Health Center in St. Clairsville. He was born November 21, 1930 in Maynard, son of the late, John and Mary A. Kacsmar Mihalic.

Frank was a retired coal miner from North American Coal Company # 3 Mine. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, L. Louise Johnson Mihalic.

Surviving are his sons, Rick (Karen) Mihalic of St. Clairsville and Doug Mihalic of Maynard; a grandson, Braedyn Mihalic of St. Clairsville; a brother, John Mihalic of Maynard; and a sister, Clara Kowalczyk of Citris Heights, California.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with a Vigil Service at 3 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church in Maynard with Father Thomas Graven as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
