Obituary

GOLETZ, Frank A., 76, of Maynard, Ohio, died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital. He was born July 3, 1936 at Fairpoint, Ohio, son of the late Frank and Cecelia Stachyra Goletz.

He was a retired railroad clerk with 42 years of service with Conrail. Frank was a retired Master Chief with 37 years of service with the United States Coast Guard. He was a member and former Fire Chief of Maynard Community Volunteer Fire Dept.; a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church; a member of the PNA Lodge # 455; a member and Treasurer of the American Legion Post 666 all in Maynard; and the Knights of Columbus Council 4243 in St. Clairsville.

Surviving are his loving wife Marianne Dorsch Goletz; six children, Jeannie Goletz, Michael (Michelle) Goletz, Susan (Bob) Slevin, Jay (Julie) Goletz, Molly (Dave) Siefert and Rick (Carrie) Goletz; a sister, Jean (Dick) Kanoski; a brother, Edward (Barb) Goletz; seven grandchildren, Kelly Slevin, Kristi (Andy) Giesler, Bobby Slevin, Keenan Goletz, Rebecca Goletz, Jacqueline Goletz and Nathan Siefert; two great grandchildren, Braydan and Kelan Giesler.

Family and Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.

A Vigil Service will be held Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. followed by PNA Services at 3:15 p.m. and a Fire Department Service Bell Ceremony will be at 7 p.m. all in the funeral home.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 12 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard with Father Thomas Graven the celebrant. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens.

Belmont County Council of American Legions will conduct services on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or American Cancer Society or Maynard Community Vol. Fire Dept. or St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
