Francis J. Mistak, 77, of Lafferty, OH died Monday, November 1, 2021 at Altman Hospital, Canton, OH.  He was born September 16, 1944 in Wheeling, WV., a son of the late Joseph Paul and Wanda Popish Mistak.

Francis was a proud member of the United Mine Workers Association and retired from the former Saginaw Mining Company and Hopedale Mining.  One of his greatest joys was working his farm.  He was a member of the former St. Mary Catholic Church in Lafferty.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Frankie, Jr. "Dude";  a grandson, Evan Cole; a sister and husband, Marlene (John) Grob.

Surviving are his buddy and loving wife of 55 years, Nancy Piper Mistak of Lafferty; daughters, Lorie Ann (Rusty) Lythgoe of Richmond, VA and Rachel Renee Mistak (Mikey) of Lafferty; former son-in-law, Scott Fletcher of Lafferty; a sister, Susan (Frank) Myers; a brother, Andrew (Donna) Mistak both of Lafferty; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Fr. Chester Pabin officiating.
