Floyd Leroy Saffell, Sr., 65 of West Captina Highway, Alledonia, Ohio died Friday, June 17, 2005 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, West Virginia.

He was born December 5, 1939 in Alledonia. A son of the late Kenneth L. Saffell and Sylvia Ruschak Saffell.

He was a construction worker and former owner of Saffell Trucking.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Lloyd; and brothers, Bob, Richard, and Don; sister, Nancy Mollendick.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Sleasman Saffell; nine children, Patty (Lee) Beckett of Beallsville, Mary Saffell of Alledonia, Judy Ring of Graysville, Denease Saffell of Bethesda, Floyd (Karen McGilton) Saffell, Jr. of Beallsville, Joe (Tomi) Saffell of Powhatan Point, David Saffell of Alledonia, Brady (Sandy) Saffell of Alledonia, and Cindy Saffell of Alledonia; three brothers, Mike and Roger Saffell of Beallsville and John Saffell of New Lexington; sister, Lucille Gillette of North Carolina; 17 grandchildren; a great grandson; aunts, Wilma Mathis and Lila Ruschak of Alledonia.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday with Pastor James M. Agnew II officiating. Burial follows in Armstrong Cemetery, Armstrongs Mills, Ohio.
