Floy Jean Scatterday, 92 of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Monday, March 21, 2016 at Astoria Place in Barnesville, Ohio.

She was born June 28, 1923 at Portersville, Ohio in Perry County, a daughter of the late Ray M. Pettet and Ruth Hammond Pettet.

She was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church of Centerville where she served as Sunday school teacher and Elder. She also served as an officer of the Belmont County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society and on the board of trustees of the Ohio Genealogical Society. She was a member of Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Russell Scatterday; brothers, Richard Clyde Pettet and Dr. Thomas R. Pettet; stepfather, Dr. Lawrence McAllister; stepbrother, Kenneth McAllister.

Surviving are two sons, Jerry Scatterday of Norcross, GA, and Dennis Scatterday of Jacobsburg; a daughter, B. Sue Scatterday (David Miller) of Columbus, Ohio; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. with Elder Karen Byrne officiating.

Burial follows in Concord Cemetery, Centerville, Ohio.
