Farris Claude "Scotty" Scott, 80 of St. Clairsville died Monday, May 7, 2007 at his home.
He was born September 30, 1926 in Bannock, Ohio, a son of the late Claude Tyree Scott and Ida Mae Adamson Scott.
Farris was a retired supervisor for Blaw-Knox and a current employee of Russ?s Value Used Cars in Lansing, a Methodist and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 2541 in St. Clairsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Charles "Lacquer", and Edward Scott.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby J. Waggle Scott; six children, Farris Scott, Jr. of Warren, Ohio, Sindy Mercer of Flushing, Tom Scott of Fairpoint, Diane Lewis of Martins Ferry, Tim "Twimpy" Scott of Waynesburg, PA., and Adam Scott of the home; a brother, Eugene Scott of Bannock; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Dean Lancaster officiating. A private interment will be held in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
