Everett L. Barton, 90, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died December 3, 2018 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born May 22, 1928 in Moundsville, West Virginia, son of the late Frank O. Barton and Thelma Gertrude Cook Barton.

Everett was retired from B. & O. Railroad and was a U. S. Navy veteran having served during the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie L. Bott Barton; and two sisters, Hester Hall and Evelyn Smith.

Surviving are his two sons, Kevin Barton and James Barton; three daughters, Marie Gongwer, Melissa Richardson and Melinda Taylor; six grandchildren, Jammie Ann Gongwer, Clint Gongwer, Chad Richardson, Nicole Summerton, Rachel Kroner and Ashley Sanders; six great grandchildren and a sister, Frances Valdonic.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with Military Honors conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association. Private burial will be in Holly Memorial Gardens.
