Evelyn J. Scott, 83, of Jacobsburg, OH died Friday, April 2, 2021 at Liza's Place of Valley Hospice, Wheeling, WV.  She was born April 25, 1937 in Armstrongs Mills, OH., a daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy Hicks Boston.

Evelyn was a homemaker and a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church of Bethesda, OH.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Robert Scott in 2001; a son, Gary Scott in 2009; seven sisters and one brother.

Surviving are her children, Robert Scott and Terry Scott both of Jacobsburg, Debbie Ruttencutter of Glencoe, OH, Elaine Scott of Barnesville, OH, Susan Baker of Wheeling; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and masks are required.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Toothman Funeral Home Jacobsburg with funeral services on Thursday at 1 pm with Pastor Brian Bee officiating.  Burial will follow in Armstrong Cemetery.
